If your computer autodials the internet do the following:

1. Click your "Start" button (usually in the lower left corner of your screen.
2. Click "Control Panel"
3. In Windows XP, Control Panel has two views.  Depending on your configuration do one of the following:
   • Click "Network and Internet Connections" and then click "Internet Options"
   • Simply click "Internet Options"
4. Click the "Connections" tab
5. Put a dot by "Never dial a connection"
6. click Apply and click OK
7. Close any remaining Control Panel windows.
